№ 01 / Overview

The skill that moves the room.

Tableau is how analysts get listened to. A well-built dashboard turns a 40-slide deck into one screen — and turns "what does the data show?" into "what should we do next?" That's the conversation Tableau gets you into.

This programme prepares you for the Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate exam and — more importantly — for the work itself. You'll build dashboards from real Mac Jason Consult engagements, learn the architecture that drives Tableau under the hood, and walk out with a portfolio you can put in front of any hiring manager.

Who this is for: Data analysts, BI professionals, testing professionals, statisticians, business analysts, project managers, data visual analysts and functional experts. Graduates and professionals looking to move into the analytics domain.

№ 03 / Curriculum

Four weeks. Nine modules.

Curriculum aligned to the Tableau Desktop Qualified Associate exam blueprint. Each module ends with a portfolio-grade dashboard and a mentor review.

How Tableau actually works under the hood. Connecting to flat files, databases, the cloud — and organising data sources so they remain useful six months later.
Sheets, dashboards, stories. Marks card, shelves, filters. The vocabulary you need before you can build anything serious.
Bar, line, scatter, heatmap, treemap, bullet, Gantt — and crucially when to use each one. We drill chart selection until it becomes second nature.
Quick filters, context filters, action filters. Parameters that drive dashboards. Tableau's generated and special fields — and how to weaponise them.
Basic calculations, LOD (level of detail) expressions, table calcs. Running totals, percent of total, moving averages — the maths Tableau hides behind a drag-and-drop.
Symbol maps, filled maps, custom geocoding, spatial files. Layered maps that tell a story instead of just plotting dots.
Joins vs blends vs relationships — the distinctions that trip up most analysts. Aggregation strategies that keep your dashboards fast and your numbers right.
Deploying R scripts inside Tableau. Connecting to Hadoop, Snowflake, Redshift. When to push compute upstream — and when to let Tableau handle it.
Layout containers, device designer, dashboard actions, story points. Publishing to Tableau Server and Tableau Public. Capstone: a portfolio dashboard from a live engagement.

No. Comfortable with spreadsheets is enough. We assume nothing about SQL, statistics or programming. By week two you'll be building dashboards that look like they came from an experienced analyst.
We provide a free Tableau Desktop student licence (one year). Tableau Public is also free indefinitely. We'll walk you through both on day one.
No — Tableau / Salesforce charges the exam fee directly. We'll walk you through registration and timing so you sit for it when you're ready, not before.
Yes. You'll graduate with a portfolio of dashboards published to Tableau Public — interview-ready, link-able, and built from real-world datasets. CV and interview review included.
Two evening sessions per week (Monday and Wednesday, 6:30–9:00pm CT) plus a weekly Saturday workshop. Designed for working professionals. All sessions recorded for lifetime access.
