№ 01 / Why this discipline

Defend, detect, respond.

Securing, protecting and defending our nation's data and infrastructure requires a responsive, extensive and highly trained workforce. Mac Jason Academy is the place to start for everyone advancing their cybersecurity career — current professionals looking to build skills, career-changers forging a new path, veterans retraining for the next phase.

According to industry compensation surveys, senior cybersecurity certifications anchor an average salary range of $97,000 – $127,063 for security professionals. The (ISC)² CISSP sits among the highest-paid credentials, with the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and CHFI rounding out the top tier for hands-on offensive and forensics roles.

Our curriculum is constantly updated to reflect innovations in the IT field and the realities of the global job market. We teach the techniques used by malicious black-hat hackers — through high-energy lectures and hands-on labs — and we pair every student with a working practitioner mentor.

№ 05 / Questions

The questions we hear most.

Brand new to security? Start with CompTIA Security+ — it's the universal launchpad. From there, CEH for offensive work, CSA for SOC roles, CISSP for the senior track once you have 4–5 years of experience. We'll map your route in a 15-minute call.
Not for Security+ or our hands-on bootcamp. For CEH, basic networking helps. For CISSP, you need real-world experience — it's a senior credential and we'll be honest with you about timing.
Heavily hands-on. We run live attack/defence labs, SIEM consoles, real packet captures, malware analysis sandboxes. Theory only takes you to the exam — practice gets you the job.
For most EC-Council programmes (CEH, CHFI, CSA), yes — voucher and one free retake. For (ISC)² CISSP and CompTIA Security+, the exam fee is paid directly to the certifying body. We'll lay it out clearly during enrollment.
Yes. Every cyber programme runs live online with the same instructor and mentor as our Houston classroom. Sessions are recorded for lifetime access.
